Item description

This is an immaculately restored 1965 Ford Mustang ("C" Code) Fastback 2 + 2 (VIN #5T09Cxxxxxx) packing a V8 (289 cu. in.) engine mated to a 4-speed toploader transmision. The engine was completely overhauled and now sports a 4 barrel holley carburetor with a mild street cam. The heads were rebuilt with 7 degree valve locks, ported and polished while big valves were installed to enhance the breathing characteristics of this Ford baby 8. A holley 130 gph fuel pump delivers fuel to the Holley Model 4160 4 barrel carb and the Weiand action plus intake manifold. "AN" fittings were used to ensure a tight seal on the fuel hose. Comp cams lifters and crane pushrods were used in the rebuild. New expansion plugs were also installed to prevent coolant loss and the hassle of pulling out the engine just to replace expansion plugs. A new ford starter cranks the engine while an Ignitor II electronic ignition kit guarantees that you won't ever have to change contact points again. A northern aluminum radiator cools this hot rod. This engine does not overheat which is a testament to the effort and skill that went into the rebuild.

If you're looking for a car that was done right then THIS IS IT. SSBC Power-assisted Front Disc Brakes provide ample stopping power. Factory power-steering makes the drive effortless while the factory airconditioning cools the cabin. A new firewall insulation pad was installed to prevent the heat from the engine from going through the firewall and into the passenger compartment. The fuel tank was replaced with a brand new unit to prevent engine stalling which is caused by grime from the inside walls an old fuel tank clogging up the fuel lines. The front and rear suspension were treated to a complete rebuild. Save for the rear leaf springs and the disc brake spindles, every suspension part was replaced. In the cabin, this pony comes with a white deluxe pony interior which contrasts nicely with the red body paint. Period correct magnum 500 rims provide this car's aggressive character.

This is a car built to be DRIVEN DAILY. There are no pesky leaks to contend with. 90% of the parts of this car were replaced with brand new parts from US vendors like Summitracing, California Mustang and many others. This car is a highway cruiser as it comes with an 8 inch rear end with 2.80 gears so you'll get more mileage from a full tank of gas. Needless to state, this car is in turnkey condition.
