Warehouse Worker - Canberra

Carpet Factory Wholesale Retail Flooring is currently looking for Loaders to assist in the warehouse, reporting directly to the Distribution Manager.

Key accountabilities:
-Maintain consistent workflow by ensuring product is prepped for shipping area in a safe, timely manner.
-Responsible for assisting supervision in loading and staging area, as required.
-Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the -Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Health and Safety policies.
-Picking, packing, receiving & restocking product using pallet lifters, dollies, loaders.
-Place and retrieve stock in warehouse based on labels.
-Assemble and place incoming products.
-Maintain / assist with inventory controls.
-Assist with customer pick ups.
-Affix and identify labels and/or shipping information.

Education and Certifications:
-Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity.
-While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.
-Employee may lift, lower, carry product up to a maximum of 40 pounds by hand.
-Previous manufacturing experience is an asset but not a requirement
-Forklift certification acquired through Company sponsored training program
-Demonstrates ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
-Ability to complete reports accurately and legibly
-Good communication skills
-Team player, strong interpersonal skills.
